Veterans and Spouses

FLCVSOA is here to help you file the necessary paperwork for benefits you deserve. The VA can pay compensation to a Veteran if he/she is at least 10% disabled as a result of military service. Wartime Veterans may receive a pension if they have limited income and are unable to work or if they are over the age of 65. Also, Veterans with a 10% disability rating or greater are eligible for an additional homestead exemption on the property taxes.

Additional benefits may be extended to dependents of Veterans such as:
Survivors of service members who died on active duty.
Survivors of Veterans who died from service-connected disabilities.
In some cases, survivors of Veterans who were being paid 100% disability at the time of their death, can obtain Dependency & Indemnity Compensation (DIC) benefits.
Qualifying surviving spouses and children of deceased wartime Veterans may obtain a death pension.

Veterans Healthcare

FLCVSOA assists Veterans in obtaining health care from the VA Medical Center or the local VA Medical Outpatient Clinic in Bradenton, FL. Some of the services provided at these facilities include:
Hospital, Outpatient Medical and Pharmacy Services.
Readjustment and PTSD Counseling
Special Health Care for Women Veterans
Sexual Trauma Counseling
Alcohol and Drug Dependency Treatment

Burial Benefits
FLCVSOA works with the family when a Veteran or spouse of a Veteran passes away to obtain certain VA benefits including:
Headstone and Markers
Burial Flags
Reimbursement of Burial Expenses
Burial in a National Cemetery
