Childhood hunger deeply pains Hoskins, who eventually joined the Army, served two tours of duty (1990-98, 2008-10), medically retired and settled with his wife, Melissa, in Holly Hill. Last year, the couple co-founded the Heroes Hope Network, an organization focused on helping veterans and first responders cope with post-traumatic stress disorder.
